Maple Pea Seeds. Pisum sativum. Annual. 70 to 90 days to full maturity, 8 to 12 days for microgreens. Non-GMO, Open Pollinated, Heirloom. Maple pea is a popular variety grown for microgreens and garnish. The shoots have a nice pea, sweet flavor. Soak seeds in cold water 12-24 hours. Sow seeds by broadcasting in soil tray and tamp into soil. Lightly cover with soil. Keep covered for 3 to 4 more days before exposing light. Water daily so the soil is moist but not soggy. Harvest at desired length. Young pea shoot-tips and leaves have a delicious pea flavor. Fresh pea shoots are great as garnish to sandwiches, tacos and to any salad. Excellent in stir-fry with garlic in dishes such as Chinese dau miao. Approx 100 seeds per ounce.
